Why goals are good, but super-goals are better, do you have to be crazy to get to space, and how mind-blowing goals change lives?

Welcome to the world of madmen and madmen. Supergoal is the same goal as a normal goal, only with the prefix wow. I believe that a person in life has several of these, well, motivational steps that move through life – it is usually a task, goals and super goals. Tasks and here is the task I had today to come to speak in front of you – this task. To go to the store, to pick up the child from kindergarten, I do not know, to ask the boss for a raise.  These are all tasks. There are goals. This is something more, to finish college, this is to find a great job, get married, have a baby, I do not know what else it is possible, a global goal – to live to 67 years, and there is a goal over. This is the goal of crazy people, for example I want to fly around the world in a balloon. This is a goal, or buy to sell everything I have, or buy a boat, or travel around the world, this is a super goal that is irrational, senseless, crazy, but it will change your life, it is necessary for you to feel differently, that your life has acquired new colors, that you have a spice in your life. I’ve been thinking about how to give you an allegory that you understand correctly, with or without it. Many of you at the very beginning of your life, 15-17 years old had fun with friends, disco, fun, great, super cool. And you lived like that and thought that everything in life is great, everything is super until the family appeared and in this family children were born and only then you understood how meaningless your life was without children and you are not ready to go back to the time when you did not have a child, it is the same with the super goal, when a man has it, he never wants to go back when it was not. Believe me, you can live without it. But once you try it, you won’t give it up, it’s like a drug. And now I will tell you what are the characteristics of super goals, what they are, and how they differ from conventional goals and objectives. First, a super goal must be meaningless, absolutely idiotic. For example, I want to swim across the English Channel. Well, what is the point of this? It does not improve my living conditions, I will not become richer, healthier, smarter, more beautiful, it will not give anything. They’re crazy like their Redbull. They have been preparing for six years just to lift a man to 30 km and drop him down to the ground, he flies 10 km, opens his parachute and lands on the ground. It all took them 6 years and a huge amount of dollars, but they did it just for the sake of it, they had 6 years to live This is what has made these six years very wonderful.  You cannot buy a super-goal, i.e. a cool yacht or a house is not a super-goal, because if you have money, you can buy it here and now, a real super-goal is not for sale. If you decided to climb Everest, you cannot buy it. You have to get ready to it, you have to know a lot, train a lot, you have to be strong, healthy and after some years you will climb Everest, you cannot buy it.  When you hear for the first time about a super-goal, when someone tells or read somewhere the first thing that comes to mind, yes it can not be normal, it can not happen in principle, a man is not capable of it. You can catch it and move towards it. If you don’t have such a goal, you are Vasya from the next street who did the same everything, this is not a super goal, this is a normal task, you may not do it. Well, for example it seems to me unreal to become Ironman. I’ll tell you about it later. When I first learned about it, it seemed to me that it’s unreal, a person is not capable of it. Super goals are very long-term, you can not reach your goal in one or two days to, for example to see off the same marathon, you need to prepare yourself, you need to train every day to do day to 2-3 months, six months you could do it, so any super goal is long and the longer it is the better, because supersky not to achieve it, and to go this way and the longer it will be, the cooler you. And the most important thing that I think the main, as the main characteristic of these super goals – is the pride that you went to it and came to this is something that you can tell your grandchildren and great-grandchildren, if you suddenly think that you’re done will not be interesting to them, well I made repairs in the house, well done Grandpa and that he earned $ 5000, super, I’m not interested. It was August of last year, I was sitting at the computer and by that time I already had a few successful projects behind me, and I was already in sports for three years, but in sports I was like most of you, in general people on earth as doing sports, the first time I went to sports because I wanted to pump up your banks to be big and strong as in the pictures. then I had well I walked walked walked like everyone walked two or three months and gave up. Then I decided to go swimming because the doctors discovered my scoliosis. My back was hurting, they recommended swimming, I started swimming, I went swimming, I was training, after six months I quit. Then I tried to go swimming because I had hypertension, I also went and treated my hypertension for a few months and I quit as well and by that time I was in a more or less normal condition, but without any excitement in my eyes, I saw sports as something in life, a necessity in life that I have to endure and once or twice or three times a week I had to spend half an hour on sports. And why this slide is called a click. Because on that day I received a link from my friend on Skype, I clicked on it and got to the page on which a man Alexei wrote his report on the distance Ironman, his training, how he went to this, how he achieved this, and how he passed this distance. I read Two or three times this report, when I realized what Ironman is – a distance in triathlon, when a person manages to swim 4 km in one event, then crawl ashore, remove the wetsuit from himself, put on a helmet, sit on a bike, ride a bike 180 km, then get off the bike, put on sneakers and run 42 km on their feet. Somebody said so?  I was shocked, if you think it is normal, then I envy you. I was shocked, as a person in a state of 14 -15 hours without a break to do such a load, what should be the endurance.  I started reading, I sat late that day in front of the screen.I found a lot of information about Ironman, the next day I ran to the store for sneakers, I got hooked and since then I began to have Challenges, the first Challenges was this was Ironman. I clearly understood that I wanted to become an Ironman and then I had other super goals. But about them I will talk a little later. Now I will introduce you to my super goals.  I hope some of you will find it useful, maybe borrow something for yourself, I will be very happy. This is what the Ironman formula looks like. I’m planning to do it maybe next year, in a year and a half at the most.  In order to go the distance, you need to do some smaller challenges, because it’s very difficult to go that far. So you have to go in steps, I thought the first serious one might be a marathon. I mean it’s not as cool as Ironman, but it’s cool. I don’t know any marathoners. I felt like it would be a serious challenge for me.  And preparing for it for 8 months, on April 7 this year in Paris, I ran my marathon. You know what I told the guys today that I was going to run here. How do you find a slide? You google Paris Marathon. The pictures come up, you save the first ones you see, put them in the presentation. So when I said that I would talk, the guys remembered that when I posted a story on Facebook about how I ran a marathon, everyone remembered how I taped my nipples with tape, did not remember what the result was, who I ran with, what I faced, wanted to eat, wanted to drink, what gels I ate. All remembered the nipples taped with tape. I do not know, at the end I will show this picture, I put it on purpose, because more than one person told me about it. The Ironman distance is another, serious stage is swimming. That’s why it was necessary to train and swim at the same time. I was already able to swim by that time and it took me six months to learn how to swim long distances, and preparing for Ironman, I decided to swim across the Bosphorus in Turkey in Istanbul, which I did literally last Sunday, I came from Istanbul with a certificate of honor. I hope that I will not call my friends after facebook will see how I shave my legs, because I was taught by the local guys that if you want to swim faster to shave your legs, this will add a few seconds per 100 meters in the plans – to run the North Pole Marathon, then a wonderful wonderful challange – is Marathon des Sables is 270 km across the Sahara desert for a week marathon every day. Well probably my biggest crazy desire – to make a mark in history – is to swim the La Manche, maybe in five years I’ll be able to overcome the North Channel, 32 km in cold water, along with the storm, marine life. Well, besides the above goals, I have set for myself a few more, which has about sport interest. Or no sport interest, which concerns in general in life. That is, I would like to get this wonderful figure of Oscar, maybe it’s immodest, but it is a super goal, that it should be absolutely unattainable, for we know that We have been doing a cartoon about a gypsy and death for four years now, how much time and money and health and effort and time we spend is unknown, but that’s what a task is, to solve it long and painfully and get pleasure from it. After I got hooked on sports last year, I realized that not only me, not only I can enjoy doing sports and other people can have such chellenges, I’m thinking of opening a big sports club in Moldova, a sports social network in which anyone can take part and actively promote amateur sports, not professional, namely amateur, not to talk for a long time, I just want to say that Sunday we will have a mass rally for amateur sports in Moldova. I have problems with English and Romanian. I do not know what happened, I’m not stupid, but I have problems with languages. I want to tell you that I have a desire to learn English perfectly, to be as a native, to come up with it. I spent a lot of time on this, I had a few attempts, and I and the teacher went to classes, signed up, they visited me, I read. At the end I quit, like two or three months ago. This is the unexpected turn, I think I’m so conscious, I have such goals and I’m going to them, and I quit English. I’ll explain why it happened, I quit not completely, but at this point I stopped and said stop, I’m doing something wrong. Sasha is a special slide, this is a mistake, is that now I drink water, the mistake is that I set the wrong goal with the English language to learn English – this is not a goal, the goal should be achievable, should be at arm’s length, should be understandable, that here it ended. Learn English is not a flag on Mount Everest, you can always learn it, and so I set a goal for myself, I could not understand moving forward did not move forward. I am closer, further, I did not navigate in space, and therefore I lost motivation, I gave it up to learn. I probably should have set a goal to write a book in English to be published in England and let’s talk about these problems. Why people don’t achieve the goals they set for themselves. Why do they break down and quit? Well-known British scientists who are always something to study, so they did a study and told us that 90% of people who do sports to lose weight, give up this activity, and 90% of people who do sports to achieve something, continues to do it and of course lose weight. If you suddenly feel that you are going to the goal through suffering that you all interfere that you do not want to do it, give it up, do not torture yourself, this is not the goal, which should go. The goal should bring pleasure pleasure, even if it is difficult, even hard after training, but when you understand that you have moved, that you have changed, that you became better, you get pleasure, it means that you do not need to strain at all. Super aim does not bring money, if it brings you money, it means not to have fun, but to earn money. Pay attention if you dream just to make money, this is not the price you have to go, set a goal not to make money, but for example to invent some medicine which will save mankind, you invent this cure, you make money.  But not the other way around. How to achieve these super goals? For this there is a simple recipe. There is one interesting methodology for running. When I started studying methods of training, I found an interesting technique, it was that the man goes for a run, that is, today ran for 1 minute. Tomorrow 2, the day after tomorrow 3, a month 30, 2 months an hour and after 8 months you can run 4:00 without stopping and you run a marathon. The same steps . Here are the stupid pictures I promised to show you. These are workouts at the stadium with the tire, these are real, our track and field athletes are training there. And in conclusion I want to tell you this.When I was a kid, I often had a dream where I was flying, where I was flying above the ground. Time passed, I stopped dreaming about it and it so happened that I had many different Challenges, I jumped out of a parachute. I flew by plane, on paragliding, bungee jumped, I had a sense of flight, but the feeling did not return to me. I could not, it was not like that feeling and when I started running last year and I had a training when the weather was great, I felt great and we ran with my coach downhill, I found myself thinking that I feel the same as I felt when I was 5 years old. I want you to remember what we dreamed of when we were kids, what you had, because you are not changed, just that kids do not dream about losing weight or growing breasts big or increase annual sales by 7%. They dream of being astronauts, singers, they want to learn to talk to animals, be magicians, learn to fly. I do not believe that this is possible, so why have we adults stopped believing in these dreams? I want you to have these crazy, super, crazy ideas and these crazy dreams and your life will immediately transform, you will not recognize yourself, your friends will be surprised by changes that occur in your life, you will not believe that you are able to do this and at one point you will notice that you awoke the same boy, who has long wanted to fly above the ground.  Thank you! – People ask me the same question, of course, Dima, you have an income. You have a business, it’s easy for you to dream. To take the Bosphorus-150 euros for a ticket, 30 euros for participation and 50 euros for a hotel. It cost me 250 euros-300 euros to pay for the Bosphorus.  Any of you can save that money and go across, it’s not as much money as it seems. Participation in the Paris Marathon costs 40 euros registration. Tickets hotel, well, let it be 400 euros. It’s not a lot of money, although I can not say that I’m poor, but if something happens to my business, I will still continue to do sports, this is 100%.
